Our team works 24/7 to help every student get the best from their time in the UK – from checking they are safe and happy, and sorting logistics, to supporting them through challenges, and helping them explore British culture.
We know that every family is different. If our packages don’t offer exactly what your child needs, just get in touch. We offer a bespoke service, tailoring our guardianship to give you the care and contact that will work best for you.
Our Management Team
At the heart of Oxford Guardians is our experienced management team. Run by our founder, Sarah Bacon, this team knows every student and oversees their care.
Responsibilities include:
- Rigorous checks and training of our educational guardians
- Inspection, checks and training of our host families
- Comprehensive policies and procedures to safeguard students
- Ensuring clear and helpful pathways for communications with parents, including first language speakers where possible
- Selection of approved drivers for student transport
- Round the clock support for our students, parents, educational guardians and host families.
Our management team of knowledgeable experts is always on hand to advise and provide help. Like parents, we know your child and will always do our best to help them.
Educational Guardians & Host Families
Our Educational Guardians
We choose our educational guardians for their warmth and professionalism. They build trusting relationships, help students celebrate good times and overcome any challenges.
They are a trusted link between you, your child and the school. Each of our educational guardians cares for just a small group of students. This means our guardians get to know our students and their families well, so they can offer a much more personal level of support, helping students truly thrive.
Our Host Families
We carefully choose host families, to give your child the comfort of home when they are not at school (homestays). Whether they come back to their homestay every day, or just at weekends and holidays, our host families welcome your child as one of the family.
We work with you to find the best match of location and lifestyle, so that students will enjoy their homestay experience.
We also take care of transport, so you can be sure your child can travel safely between school, their homestay, and wherever you are.
Native speakers
Parents and students sometimes have difficulty understanding the English language. We know how important it is to have clear communications, so many of our team at Oxford Guardians are fluent in other languages. Find out more about our first language Mandarin, Russian and Farsi speakers.
