Negar was brought up in Iran speaking Farsi, the official language of Iran also spoken in neighbouring countries including Afghanistan, Bahrain, Iraq, Oman, Yemen, and the UAE. She followed her younger sister to study in the UK (both under the educational guardianship of Oxford Guardians), and recently achieved her PhD in Forensic Psychology. 

Negar’s background and experience mean that she has a clear understanding of the cultural and other issues that may face international students and their families, and the value of personalised guardianship care.

“I really enjoy my job,” says Negar, “especially knowing from my own experience how much reassurance I give to the parents of Iranian students by understanding their situation and speaking their language. It is great to give our students and their parents peace of mind!”
