Kevin has worked for Oxford Guardians since 2017, leading on Safeguarding and the Safeguarding Disclosure and Barring Service checks known as the DBS which are carried out on all Oxford Guardians personnel in order to keep our students safe.
With a career as an army officer and subsequently in the Foreign Office, Kevin brings useful insight into Oxford Guardians’ appreciation of the students who come to us from all over the world with their various backgrounds.
As part of Kevin’s in-country visits during his career in the Foreign Office he visited schools in over 70 countries. This knowledge combined with his meticulous attention to detail means that he keeps a close eye on our policies, safeguarding practices to ensure we remain up to date with the requirements needed to be an outstanding guardianship company, with keeping children safe at the top of our list.
Kevin is married to Sarah Bacon, and like Sarah enjoys hosting students from all over the world. Chats over dinner become quite illuminating for Sarah as she listens to Kevin and the students talking about their countries!
